Privacy policy

Effective October 9, 2026 · PixelFit: Photo Compressor for Android · com.cedarlab.pixelfit

This policy explains how Cedarwave Labs' PixelFit app handles information. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Your photos stay on your device

PixelFit uses Android's system photo or document picker to access the image you select. It copies that image into private temporary storage for processing. Compression, cropping, resizing and conversion happen on your device. PixelFit has no photo-upload service, user accounts or cloud backend. A cloud-connected picker may retrieve your selection through its own provider before PixelFit processes a local copy.

PixelFit does not modify or delete the original image. Encoded results are new files and remove EXIF metadata, including embedded GPS location. Saving writes the result to Pictures/PixelFit. Sharing grants the receiving app access to your selected generated result through Android's share sheet. That app handles the result under its own privacy policy.

Temporary files and retention

Selected input copies, previews and generated results are held in PixelFit's private app cache. Startup cleanup removes files older than 24 hours. When the cache exceeds 512 MiB, it may also remove files older than one hour. You can remove temporary files and reset your current edit with Clear temporary files in Settings. Android can also clear the cache.

Gallery exports remain until you delete them using Gallery or Files. Uninstalling PixelFit does not delete those exports.

Advertising and third-party processing

PixelFit contains banner ads and may display an interstitial after completed saves. It uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform. These services and applicable advertising partners may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device or advertising identifiers, app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, security and fraud prevention. Google describes SDK data handling in its Mobile Ads SDK disclosure and privacy policy.

PixelFit does not send photo pixels, selected filenames, file paths or image URIs to AdMob. PixelFit does not request GPS location permission. This release has no separate active analytics provider; ad services can perform their own measurement.

Your advertising choices

PixelFit refreshes consent information at launch. Where required and configured, Google's consent form offers choices about advertising data processing and applicable partners. Manage privacy choices in Settings reopens the available privacy options. Advertising is requested only when the consent SDK permits it. Core photo functions remain available offline and regardless of ad availability or your advertising choices.

You can manage or reset advertising identifiers through Android's privacy settings. Available controls vary by Android version and region. For requests about information processed by Google, use the controls and contact information in Google's privacy policy. For questions or requests to Cedarwave Labs, use the email above; we will respond as applicable to your request and region.

Support messages

Contacting support opens your email app. We receive the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request and diagnose the issue. PixelFit does not automatically attach your photos or diagnostics. Ask us by email if you want a support message or attachment deleted, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

Audience and security

PixelFit is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. It does not offer account registration. Private photo copies remain within Android's app sandbox; exports and explicitly shared results are handled as described above. Google reports that data collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when PixelFit's behavior or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current policy. Contact Cedarwave Labs at [email protected] for support, privacy questions or rights requests.
